WHY A WOMEN ONLY REHABILITATION CENTRE?
Research on women with behavioral and or chemically dependent conduct has identified that they have specific needs. Women often have a unique set of factors that contribute to their addiction and can hinder their recovery. Research shows that sexual or physical trauma with resulting post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is more common among females in treatment than males. Research shows that it is easier for woman to open-up and share sensitive or deeply personal issues in a single – gender treatment centre. Counselling needs also differ for women as my experience has shown that they need more time in a counselling environment. Experience has shown that spirit often attracts spirit and rehab romances should be avoided as they often hinder recovery and lead to relapses. Single gender-based rehabilitation has proven to encourage focus and avoids distractions. One important aspect of female-only rehab programs is that some women may not seek treatment if these gender-specific programs did not exist.
BASIC OUTLINE OF OUR PROGRAM

It's important for the supporters to realise that they too need help in recovering.
